The City of Southfield is dedicated to bridging the relationship from the businesses to the community and schools. To honor this commitment, the City of Southfield recently hosted their annual career fair at Lawrence Technological University (LTU). This allowed Southfield High School students to interact with various Southfield businesses and entrepreneurs.
Students spoke with employers to gain a better understanding what a ‘day in the life’ of various industries have to offer them. This was also a wonderful opportunity for students to see LTU’s campus and what college life will be like.
This event helped students advance their skills in resume-building, interviewing, business etiquette and so much more. Employers advised students on may topics ranging from identifying the right career fit to how to successfully job search.
This is one of many Southfield High School career events leading up to the Job Shadow Impact 2014 event April 23, 2014.
