Brooks Kushman Registered Patent Agent Stephanie Mansfield, Ph.D. will present at the Biomedical Engineering Society’s (BMES) Midwest Biomedical Engineering Career Conference (MBECC) in Detroit on Nov. 7, 2014.

Mansfield will serve on a panel discussing alternative career paths in the biomedical science industry. In her career with Brooks Kushman, Mansfield has worked with many biomedical technology clients, focusing on medical, orthopedic and biomechanical devices, tissue engineering and consumer products.

Mansfield has nearly two decades of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the biomedical and mechanical arts. She speaks regularly on intellectual property protection within the biomedical and life science industries.

Mansfield holds a Doctorate and Master of Science in biomedical engineering and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University.

MBECC is a one-day conference, hosted by Wayne State University and designed specifically for biomedical engineering students and working professionals. During the conference, students and recent graduates will learn about career opportunities from alumni working in industry, academia, government, law and medicine.
