Southfield to offer ‘winter escape’ movie night

The Southfield Park & Recreation Department will host the free Winter Escape Family Movie Night on Friday, Feb. 7, from 6:30-9 p.m. in the Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road (enter through Parks & Recreation Building).

Residents are invited to escape from the cold and snow for a few of hours with Winter Escape Family Movie Night, which will feature much more than just a great film. The evening will offer plenty of otherfun activities, such as an inflatable obstacle course and moonwalk, basketball, bowling and winter crafts.

The highlight will be a screening of Despicable Me 2, featuring the return of super-villain Gru, his girls, the Minions and a host of new and outrageously funny characters. The movie is rated PG and offers something for all ages.

Refreshments will be available for purchase, including hot dogs, sausage, nachos, pizza, popcorn and drinks.
