Southfield-based Plante Moran PLLC, an accounting and business advisory firm, has named Paul Blowers as chief information officer to replace its longtime CIO, Doug Brady, who will be retiring soon.
Brady, Plante Moran’s first CIO, has been with the firm since 1987.
Blowers had been chief architect and senior director of enterprise architecture and business solutions at Troy-based Kelly Services.
Blowers worked for Accenture from 1995 to 2007 before joining Kelly Services.
“We are pleased to welcome Paul Blowers to Plante Moran. His cross-sectional, global experiences made him an excellent choice to lead our demanding and comprehensive technology and information needs,” said Gordon Krater, Plante Moran’s managing partner, in a press release.
Blowers, who has a master of science degree from Walsh College, is co-author of the textbook e-Commerce in Virtual Worlds.
Plante Moran, which will celebrate its 90th anniversary this year, has 22 offices and a staff of more than 2,000 throughout Michigan, Ohio and Illinois, with international offices in Shanghai; Monterrey, Mexico; and Mumbai, India.
